Writing Bio
Wade Savitt is a Miami-based writer. After studying poetry with John Ashbery at Bard College, he went on to focus on Theater of the Oppressed at the Brecht Forum. He has written street theater about gentrification and the living wage with The Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative in Boston and Fifth Avenue Committee in Brooklyn. His short plays have been produced by companies such as The Living Theatre, T. Schreiber Studio, Theater for the New City, and American Opera Projects.
He has writen two chapbooks: The First Shabbat in the Garden of Eden, a collection of prose poems, and Indoor Cats, a collection of short plays. Both are available on Amazon.
